Normally closed when magnet is within 1/2” or closer. Designed for use with alarm systems. The switch will remain closed as long as the magnet is within 1/2” of the switch. Magnet is mounted in the door. Both magnet and switch will fit tightly in 3/8” holes in wood or aluminum door jams and doors (may not work at all with steel doors). Fits flush with surface; glue in place with adhesive. Pigtail lead wires are 11” long. Switch case is high impact plastic. Contacts (reed switch) rated at 0.2 amps at 12 VDC. Life approximately two million cycles.
